From a young age, Nick Wolcott was captivated by the aerial views from airplane windows, fascinated by the evolving landscapes and shrinking scenes below. This childhood wonder never left him; it shaped his aspirations and ultimately steered his career toward aerial photography.Initially, he pursued a traditional pilot’s license, aiming to capture footage from fixed-wing aircraft. Yet, he soon realized that the airplane was not the right tool for him; he needed a more versatile and intimate approach. This realization came to life in 2009 after watching a video of a camera attached to a remote-controlled helicopter, capturing dynamic footage that traditional methods couldn’t achieve.Inspired by this new possibility, he shifted from his role as a newspaper photographer to specialize in aerial filming.
Over the past 15 years, this decision has allowed him to merge his deep-rooted passion for the aerial perspective with his professional expertise.As the founder and lead pilot of Elevated Productions, Nick is committed to capturing exceptional aerial footage that meets the demanding and diverse needs of filmmakers worldwide.
